Free flights to Italy from the US, Canada and Central America
Italy is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, but getting there is not cheap. Hotel rooms or apartments, food, museum entry fees and so on can all be expensive, so you wouldn't want to spend a fortune on flights on top of all of that. You could get cheaper airfare by visiting Italy in the off-season, being flexible regarding the days you fly or by considering an offbeat flight pattern via other European airports. But our solution is much better: faster, without additional stopovers, and more importantly without wasting money. Indeed, flying for free to Italy is possible! Which is why we want to adopt a multi-annual program through the Italian parliament, and your support is essential. Free plane tickets are already available! You can receive specific instructions from Free Flights to Italy NGO immediately.

Not only are cheap plane tickets to Italy easy to find, but nowadays you can even get free flights. We are going to see how you can save on your airfare or eliminate it altogether. First of all, we now have a great tool: Google Flights. This excellent service is totally free and more sophisticated than all the older flight/travel search engines such as Skyscanner and KAYAK. Google Flights usually considers many more airlines and, using historical data, is able to predict the price developments of a route even before the airline communicates the actual airfare. Mind you, nothing is perfect in this world, and even Google Flights can make a small mistake every now and then. We recommend using Google Flights in the first place to find the best airfare, but never forget to check the route and its price in the official website of the chosen airline. Tickets may be sold out, for example. Actually, Google Flights will redirect you to the airline's website automatically, because Google doesn't sell any tickets. This is much better than the behavior of the aforementioned competitors, which sell tickets instead and often add a surcharge. Although off-season flights are more likely to be cheaper, this is not a general rule. Nor is it always true that flying on a weekend is pricier. You may well get a good deal no matter what day and time of year you need to travel. The key here is booking as far in advance as possible, preferably five or six months. Google Flights will also tell you if a nonstop flight is cheaper than a stopover in a European hub. As we have seen, there is no general rule applicable to all circumstances, but on the whole there are many more direct flights from the East Coast to Italy — chiefly Rome and Milan — than from the rest of America (the reason is simple: flights are shorter). These direct flights are likely to be cheaper, but a few search engines might suggest booking a European low-cost carrier (also known as a no-frills, discount or budget carrier or airline) because many low-cost airlines operate in Italy. However, the problem with these airlines is that they usually charge up to $100 for each checked bag. Sometimes, hand luggage is not free either; water or other drinks, meals and so on are never included. So, don't forget to calculate all your extra costs.
Italian citizens or dual citizens can actually get free flights to Italy
This is where Free Flights to Italy NGO comes in: no more so-called "cheap flights". Flying to Italy for free is possible, for example from New York City JFK, Boston BOS, Chicago ORD, Los Angeles LAX, Toronto YYZ, Vancouver YVR, to Rome FCO and Milan MXP and LIN. Many more airports are available: see the previous section. Reimbursements will be provided by our office in Rome on a first-come first-served basis via TransferWise or money transfer. Write us a message to confirm the information you sent us, and ask for your priority number. Do not throw it away: you will have to show your boarding passes (outward journey and return journey, economy class or business class) together with the priority number. In no case shall the amount of reimbursement exceed the airfare calculated by Google Flights for that flight. Please note that our members, who are all on the AIRE list, already have access to free tickets. If you are not a member yet, join us now!
Italian elections 2018
Free Flights to Italy is not a political party and is not affiliated to any parties. However, the organization strongly believes that we can engage in proactive, rather than reactive, politics, in order to support the legislative proposals that promote our core values voting from abroad by postal ballot. We will take part in 2018 general elections, thanks to all the residents in North and Central America who helped us collect the requisite signatures.
